What Gauges Are Right for My Engine?

Analog Gauges

Livorsi electric analog gauges use a sensor connected to the engine to send readings to the gauge via a signal wire. The only exception is the voltmeter, which reads directly from any 12-volt source on the boat.

Livorsi mechanical analog gauges measure fluid or pressure directly from a line connected to the engine or transmission. These gauges are compatible with any engine using analog sensors (sold separately).

All Livorsi analog gauges include red LED backlighting by default. Our 2-1/16” gauges are only available with red LEDs, while larger sizes offer swappable LED colors to suit your style. Most models feature plug-and-play Deutsch connectors for quick and reliable installation, though a few exceptions apply.

Vantage View (CAN Bus) Gauges

Vantage View—often referred to as CAN bus gauges—receive data directly from your engine’s ECM (Engine Control Module). These digital gauges are compatible with Mercury SmartCraft, NMEA 2000, J1939, and MEFI 4b CAN protocols. Because they rely on digital engine data, Vantage View gauges are only compatible with fuel-injected engines that support one of the above CAN bus systems. They come with red LED backlighting and feature the same plug-and-play Deutsch connectors for simple, secure connections.
